Älvsbyn's Adapted Upper Secondary School is located centrally in Älvsbyn. The school is situated right in the middle of Älvsbyn, meaning that the sports hall, ice rink, swimming pool, ski tracks, football fields, athletics facilities, and nature are all just around the corner, while still being close to the town center with the main library, meeting rooms, bowling alley, etc. At Älvsbyn's Adapted Upper Secondary School and Adapted Comprehensive School, you will work in an energetic community with competent and engaged colleagues – a school with drive in a growing school municipality with budding hope for the future.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, your main task is to plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching. The position includes teaching in commercial courses at the adapted upper secondary school, as well as physical education for both the adapted comprehensive school and the adapted upper secondary school. You collaborate with other educators and student assistants in the work team.

As a teacher in Physical Education and Health, your task is to motivate and give every student the opportunity to develop successfully. You actively contribute to the school's overall development and take responsibility for ensuring that students reach as far as possible.

Qualifications

You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Physical Education and Health in the later years of comprehensive school. You have an exceptional level of commitment. You are a clear leader who creates security and serves as a role model for your students. You teach in an inspiring way and engage with students and their goals through a coaching approach.

We are looking for teachers who are skilled leaders, creative, and flexible. You understand the importance of building good relationships with young people, have a low-affectivity approach characterized by trust in the students you meet, and involve students in the learning process. You are willing to reflect on your and others' approaches and interactions together with colleagues. Good insight into the school's mission and knowledge of current regulations are prerequisites. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have knowledge of and experience working with adaptations and with children in need of special support. Personal suitability is given great weight.

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) position with a start date of 2026-08-12. An extract from the Police's suspicion and criminal record register is required.
