About the Role

Dahlstierna Upper Secondary School is a pleasant and inspiring workplace with modern facilities. The school shares premises with adult education, but on different floors.

There are currently nearly 100 students at the school. We offer vocational programs in Plumbing and Property, as well as apprenticeship variants of the following programs: Child and Recreation, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Sales and Service, Industrial Technology, and Care and Nursing. Our apprentices spend at least 50% of their study time at a company, meaning that visits and follow-ups at the workplace are a significant part of this role.

In addition, we also offer four different introductory programs.

Responsibilities

• Practical and theoretical teaching within care and nursing.
• Secure apprenticeship placements and develop collaborations with supervisors at companies/administrations.
• Assess/grade students' knowledge development at apprenticeship sites and in vocational theory. Uphold the school's values and mission.
• Collaborate across programs within the apprenticeship team to ensure good goal achievement.
• Mentorship, value-building, and motivating student work.

Qualifications

• Teacher certification in care and nursing.
• Or extensive professional experience in the field and an interest in completing training to become a vocational teacher.
• Experience in pedagogical work within the relevant area is desirable, preferably involving work with young people and adapting teaching to individual student needs.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, and able to build good relationships with both students and industry contacts.
• Local and/or regional industry knowledge is a plus.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Working Hours/Scope

Holiday service position, part-time 30-50%.

Fixed-term position from 2026-08-11 to 2027-06-16.

Probationary employment may apply if necessary.
