Teacher of German (Grades 7-9) – Stenbocksskolan, Ulricehamn
Ulricehamn Municipality is in an exciting growth phase – we are growing while preserving our small-scale charm. As the largest employer with over 2,200 employees across 100 different professional roles, we offer meaningful work where development, community, and public benefit meet. With Vision 2040 – Together Towards the Future – we shape an innovative and sustainable everyday life, together. With us, you make a real difference every day, in a culture characterized by courage, engagement, and opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally.
The Learning Sector works for cohesive and inclusive learning for everyone – from the youngest to adults. Together, we create a culture where participation, security, and high expectations are at the center. Through collaboration, language, and presence, we lay the foundation for goal achievement and lifelong learning.
Stenbocksskolan is centrally located in Ulricehamn and has approximately 620 students. The school has three work teams, each with a principal, special needs educator, special education teacher, leisure center leader, as well as several dedicated pedagogues and student assistants.
Stenbocksskolan is now looking for a teacher for grades 7–9 who, based on qualifications, conducts teaching and contributes to our students experiencing meaningful contexts, good relationships, joy, and participation. Together, we can create a safe and friendly school environment so that everyone gets the best opportunities to learn.
Responsibilities
You will teach German, possibly in combination with another subject. The teaching covers all grade levels, and you will share homeroom teacher responsibilities with a colleague. Each class consists of approximately 25 students. The position includes subject teaching and active participation in the school's development work.
You will be part of both the subject team and the work team, where collaboration, joint planning, and collegial learning are central parts of our working methods. We work with clear structures and systematic follow-up to create the best possible conditions for each student's learning and development.
With us, you will encounter a operation with strong student health services, shared values (STAR), and a great commitment to creating a school where all students have the opportunity to succeed. Our goal is for every student to feel safe, included, and motivated to develop both academically and socially.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has teacher education and is qualified to teach German for grades 7–9.
- Has experience teaching in lower secondary school (meritorious).
- Has the ability to lead and inspire groups of young people.
- Is confident, clear, and a natural leader in the classroom.
- Is solution-focused, structured, and quality-conscious.
- Has a strong commitment to school development and wants to contribute to our joint pedagogical journey.
- Understands the importance of extra adjustments and meets each student based on their individual needs.
- Has good collaboration skills but is also self-reliant in your teaching.
- Easily builds good relationships with both students and colleagues.
We value that you have personal and professional maturity that allows you to stand firmly in your role, while being open to collegial learning and development. Personal suitability will be decisive in the selection process.
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about developing young people and wants to inspire students to reach their full potential both academically and as individuals. With us, you become part of a dedicated subject and work team where clear leadership and the student's learning in focus are obvious starting points.
Teaching in lower secondary school means meeting students during a period of great development. Therefore, we are looking for you who, with empathy, clarity, and structure, can meet each student where they are.
