Do you want to make a real difference every day? Become our new support assistant!
Who are we?
Daily Activity Jursla is an experience-based daily activity center where we offer individualized activities within aesthetics, life skills, environment, and wellness.
Our target group consists of people with functional variations, primarily within neuropsychiatric areas. Challenging and problematic behaviors as well as self-harm issues occur here, which means our work places high demands on safety, structure, and conscious handling.
We are a total of seven employees working to design activities aimed at providing stimulation, development, and community, as well as increasing each person's independence and participation in society. We work with a user-oriented approach where the work is guided by and starts from the user's needs.
We are now looking for two temporary support assistants to join our dedicated team!
Your responsibilities
As a support assistant, you have a strong focus on our participants, are pedagogically inclined, and are passionate about developing and improving the daily lives of our participants. In our daily activity, you work to offer meaningful engagement based on the participant's interests, wishes, and conditions.
This is a varied job where each participant's needs, will, and personality differ. You are part of a dedicated work group with other support assistants and a support educator. The responsibilities include close collaboration with relatives, housing, guardians, the health care team, and other authorities.
The work requires a low-affective approach and good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy. It also means that we as staff must be flexible and unpretentious, and understand that we must dare to evaluate and develop ourselves to achieve success in our work.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have education in care and nursing, child and youth activities with a social focus, or other education deemed equivalent.
We want you to have experience working within LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), with experience of problematic behaviors being meritorious. You have knowledge and experience of low-affective handling and visual structure/clarifying pedagogy.
As a person, you have a strong user focus and are motivated by developing and improving the daily lives of those we are here for. You enjoy collaborating in a team where everyone's competencies are utilized to the best of their ability. You have good pedagogical skills and can adapt your way of communicating based on others' different conditions and needs.
Since we work with people, no two days are alike; therefore, we see that you have the ability to stay calm in stressful situations and can be flexible regarding changed circumstances during the workday. We also see that you have the ability to work in a structured manner and can plan your work.
You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
A manual transmission B-driver's license is a requirement for the position. You should be able to drive both manual and automatic cars.
