We are looking for a secure, engaged, and caring personal assistant for our 1.5-year-old son.

Our son is a happy and cozy little boy with a rare genetic disease that involves extensive disabilities. Among other things, he has epilepsy, developmental delays, and a great need for supervision and care. He cannot sit up on his own, needs support with all transfers, and requires daily physical training to strengthen his body. He communicates without speech, so you need to be attentive and observant of his signals.

His well-being varies over time. In some periods, he is lively and active, while in others, he needs closeness, care, and security. Therefore, we are looking for you who are calm, patient, and genuinely engaged in working closely with children with significant needs.

About the role

As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in our son's daily life, both at home and at preschool. At preschool, you act as a support; there is an employed educator on site. You need to be attentive and have a positive drive to fit into the role. Introduction and supervision are provided.

The duties include, among other things:

• Personal care
• Support with transfers and positioning
• Daily training to strengthen the body
• Support in play and activities based on his abilities
• Being present as support at preschool
• Collaboration with preschool staff and family
• Supervision, including being alert to epileptic seizures
• Support during meals and communication
• Participation in pool sessions with habilitation services

We are looking for you who

• Are calm, secure, and very attentive
• Have great patience and a warm approach
• Are engaged and present
• Have a genuine interest in working with children with extensive care needs
• Are physically capable of helping with transfers and training
• Enjoy social situations and collaborate well
• Are flexible and can adapt to the child's daily condition
• Have a driver's license
• Experience with epilepsy is preferred (not a requirement – we will teach you)

Personal suitability and chemistry are crucial, as you will become an important part of our son's and family's life.

Workload approx. 50–100%, according to agreement.

Working hours and schedule are planned together.
