Språkstudion is part of the Department of Linguistics and serves as the Humanities faculty's resource centre for languages at Stockholm University. We administer and develop resources and environments for language and language-related subjects. Our staff consists of a director, a system administrator, administrators, and assistants. Job Description

Your responsibilities include:

• Working scheduled day and evening shifts at Språkstudion's physical or digital service desk, providing adequate service and support to users.
• Maintaining order and caring for equipment in the service area and teaching rooms.
• Organizing physical and digital language cafés.
• Conducting introductions to Språkstudion for students, teachers, and other users.
• Assisting with digital examinations.
• Communicating Språkstudion's activities on social media.
• Evaluating and actively contributing to the range of language didactic resources.

Other administrative tasks may also occur.

Qualifications

The applicant must be admitted to undergraduate or advanced level studies.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an advanced user of standard software for text, audio, and image processing.
• Has documented experience in service roles.
• Can communicate nuanced and accommodatingly via the desk, phone, email, and social media.
• Has a student-oriented perspective.
• Has very good oral and written skills in Swedish and English.
• Can work both independently and in a team.
• Has an interest in language learning.

It is an advantage if you:

• Master several languages in addition to Swedish and English.
• Have experience working or studying in a language lab environment.
• Have experience with communication from a multilingual perspective.
• Have experience giving presentations to small and large groups.
• Are familiar with Stockholm University's systems, learning platforms, or organization.
• Have experience with Språkstudion's environments or premises.

About the Position

The position is 35% of full-time and is fixed-term for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Start date: 2026-08-17 or by agreement.
