About the School

Hallernaskolan 7-9 is a primary school for grades 7-9 with approximately 460 students. In August 2023, Stenungskolan moved to a completely new school building in the Hallerna area and became Hallernaskolan 7-9.

Hallernaskolan 7-9 operates on a schedule organization where teaching is interrupted by "focus weeks" (schemabrytande veckor). There are two focus weeks per term, totaling four weeks per academic year. These weeks are dedicated to reflecting on teaching and student learning. Cross-curricular work, values-based education, and outdoor activities can also be conducted during these weeks. This aims to increase variety in teaching and enhance collaboration opportunities among teachers.

In August 2023, our new school with fantastic environments was inaugurated. In April 2024, the school won the award for "Building of the Year in Stenungsund 2023." The school leadership and staff have worked to prepare the learning environments so that the new school becomes a modern school with good prerequisites for learning for everyone. During the 2026/2027 academic year, all teachers at Hallernaskolan 7-9 will have the opportunity to enhance their qualifications within the teaching profession by taking the professional program "Relational Leadership" together with Malmö University.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with the planning, implementation, and assessment of teaching in Science (NO). You will also serve as a mentor for a group of students. At the school, we work systematically with values-based education based on the curriculum Lgr22.

As a teacher with us, you will be part of a work team where you, together with colleagues, contribute to the school's development, and where you jointly strive to develop and achieve set goals. You will also be part of a subject group that meets regularly, where you jointly develop teaching based on identified needs.

You differentiate your teaching and create accessible learning environments for the group so that all students learn and develop. Working as a teacher involves constant development based on the students we meet. You should have good pedagogical competence and be well acquainted with the steering documents for primary school.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in Science (NO), who is a strong pedagogical leader and passionate about developing teaching. If you have not yet received your certification, you are of course also welcome to apply.

You should have a working style where student influence and flexibility are a natural part. You are a good leader in the classroom with clarity in communication, goals, and results. You possess qualities that include both structure and creativity.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability and the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. It is important that you are secure in your professional role and clear towards students, parents, and colleagues.
