About the Position

Asklanda School, "The small school with big opportunities", is Vårgårda Municipality's smallest rural school with approximately 75 children and students at the unit, which houses both preschool, after-school center, and primary school grades F-6. Good cooperation, shared vision, and close communication prevail at the unit. The primary school is conducted in B- and C-form, which means that a large part of the teaching in the different groups is mixed between different grade levels. The school is surrounded by beautiful countryside with varied nature.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher to join the teaching team for music instruction and part-time work at the after-school center. The position is valid for the autumn term of 2026. We are looking for you who will complement the teaching team and, together with them and the students, create curiosity and a desire to learn, actively working to create a pleasant atmosphere and study environment. We are particularly interested in you if you have a teaching license. As a teacher at Asklanda School, you develop and conduct pedagogical work together with other educators in the work team. You are responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the teaching. This is to promote students' development and learning, in accordance with the Education Act, the curriculum, and other regulatory documents. Furthermore, you are responsible for communicating goals and development to students and guardians. You are flexible, have the ability to see opportunities and solutions, and are not afraid to come up with your own ideas.

Qualifications

You are qualified to teach the subject of music and are a licensed teacher for the after-school center. In the role of a teacher, you are a team player with great commitment who sees the whole picture in a position that includes both school and after-school center. You are flexible, have positive energy, and start from each student's individual perspective. You like to find solutions in big as well as small issues and want to be part of making a difference for our students.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
