Job Responsibilities

As a recreation leader at our student residence, you will, together with other staff, be responsible for ensuring the operations run smoothly and serve as a good role model for our youth after school hours. We want you to be a support and contact point for our boarding high school students during their stay away from home.

The young people should feel a sense of belonging and community, while also having peace and quiet for studying.

This means you help organize the students' leisure time so that they experience an stimulating environment. The job also includes helping with evening snacks served in our cafeteria. There is also an opportunity for the young people to play games or just socialize.

The boarding house is open from Sunday afternoon until the end of the school day on Friday. Working hours are from the afternoon until 06:00. The schedule includes one out of every three Sundays. You will almost always work in pairs. The position is full-time with evening shifts and overnight stays.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a recreation leader and have experience from youth work. Other equivalent education may be of interest.

To provide the best possible conditions for our students to thrive and be motivated for studies, you should be easy to collaborate with and communicate with both students, parents, and school staff.

We would like you to have qualities such as creativity, initiative, a service-oriented attitude, and responsibility.

It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of the leisure activities available in Ronneby, Karlshamn, and Karlskrona. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
