About Us

Magelungen Gymnasium Gothenburg is a resource gymnasium, which means we offer special support to all students in the form of high staff density, a small-scale environment, a clear structure for the school day, and clarifying pedagogy. The school has approximately 90 students distributed across the Social Science Programme and the Introduction Programme. Our goal is to provide an environment where all students have a chance to succeed based on their prerequisites. We place great emphasis on clear teaching, safe and good relationships, and that we all do our best to ensure that all our students succeed in their studies.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term assignment (acting role) at 80%. One of our employees has a long-term sick leave and will be on sick leave during the autumn term of 2026 and possibly also during the spring term of 2027. The position includes teaching in Swedish on the Introduction Programme and serving as a support resource for the teacher on the Social Science Programme.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish with eligibility for lower secondary school. You also need to have a strong interest in reading and school library issues. As a teacher, you are receptive and structured and have a good ability to build good relationships with students, even those who are challenging. As the person responsible for the library, you have a strong personal interest in reading and working to inspire this in the students. You have an easy time structuring your own work. You do not need knowledge of any library system, but you must be able to handle Excel. It is an extra merit if you have experience in physical education teaching in some context.

Employment Type

The position is a fixed-term assignment (acting role) at 80% starting 2026-08-10. The assignment covers the autumn term and possibly the spring term.
