About the workplace

Garnvindeskolan Preschool is a small preschool in Skepplanda consisting of approximately 38 older children distributed across two departments. Garnvindeskolan Preschool shares premises with Garnvindeskolan and is located in close proximity to Kyrkskolans Preschool, where our younger children attend. There is cooperation between the two preschools as well as a natural connection with the school.

We work to give the children a good start in life and strive for the children, educators, and guardians to feel they have influence over their daily lives and the operations. We develop our organization and our pedagogical approach with curiosity, listening, and creativity. We place great emphasis on security and the personal meeting between child-educator-guardian. To create this, reflection and systematic quality work are important parts of our work.

Here, you have the opportunity to work at a small preschool with all the strengths and advantages this entails, while also being part of a larger context together with our sister preschools in Skepplanda and Alvhem.

Job Responsibilities

Based on the preschool teacher's requirement profile, the tasks are divided into Educational Responsibility, Teaching Responsibility, and Pedagogical Leadership Responsibility. As the responsible preschool teacher, you create an education together with your colleagues where the child and their development are in focus. You drive and are responsible, together with the work team, for planning, teaching, reflection, pedagogical documentation, evaluation, and analysis of the work regarding children's development and learning. The joint work in the building is also an important part where, together with other preschool teachers, you promote consensus and a red thread for the building's education.

The current position is at the older department with children aged 3-5 years.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with older age groups and has a few years of experience in this area.

You are a licensed preschool teacher who is well acquainted with the preschool's governing documents and the expectations placed on you as a preschool teacher, and you feel secure in your professional role. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to take initiative and work independently in accordance with the assignment.

You master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have a good sense of communication, collaboration, and judgment in all parts that are included in a preschool teacher's role and responsibility. You should also have good digital competence and familiarity.

Other

It is meritorious if you have experience and interest in developing outdoor environments at the preschool. We also consider it meritorious if you are attracted to aesthetic learning processes and have experience in this area.
