We are looking for an experienced Investment Controller for an interim assignment within the public sector in Tidaholm, Västra Götaland. You will be a key figure in an economic function with broad responsibilities – from investment calculations and budgeting to supporting management and political leadership.

The assignment is at 50% with the possibility of extension during periods of need. Estimated start date 17 August 2026 for 6 months, with an option to extend for another 6 months.

The work is performed physically on-site at the client's premises. Some possibility of remote work may occur after agreement.

About the Role

You take independent responsibility for the municipality's investment processes and economic control. This includes, among other things:

• Responsible for preparing budgets, calculations, forecasts, and operational planning for investment projects
• Continuously monitor economic outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead status reporting
• Prepare investment calculations and review decision materials from an economic perspective
• Drive work within the framework of existing processes, guidelines, and policies
• Contribute to operational development within economic and operational control
• Lead training activities regarding forecasting, the investment process, and operational systems
• Provide proactive support to managers and project leaders
• Participate in meetings with leadership and political forums, including presentations

You work both strategically and operationally and thrive being a visible and driving force in the organization.

Requirements for the Role

• At least a three-year university degree in economics, or equivalent
• Documented experience from the public sector, politically governed organizations, and municipal operations, primarily municipalities
• Experience in qualified controller work within the public sector, community planning, contracting, or complex investment projects
• Very good knowledge of the Office suite
• Accustomed to working independently and making decisions within the scope of the assignment
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing – you communicate effortlessly with all contact points
• Experience in driving and improving processes

• Experience and good knowledge of BI systems

Practical Information

The assignment requires regular physical presence on-site in Västra Götaland. You need to have the possibility to be on-site at the client's premises as a main rule and not work remotely as the norm. The assignment suits you who live in or near the region, or who have the possibility to commute or stay overnight.

Remuneration is paid per actual hour worked on-site.
