Approximately 70 students attend Rejmyre School, and about 45 children are enrolled in the after-school center. The school is within commuting distance from both Finspång and Norrköping, as well as Katrineholm and Vingåker.
At the school, we work with age-integrated classes in certain grades depending on the number of children. At Rejmyre School, we are a team that works closely together to achieve our set goals. This means there are good opportunities to get proposals approved and to receive support in daily work. The team consists of a high proportion of qualified and certified teachers.
Your future responsibilities
As a special needs teacher, you play a central role in student-centered work and the school's ongoing development efforts. You work closely with both students and colleagues, contributing to creating an accessible, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.
The position involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students in need of special support. You collaborate closely with the school's other special needs teachers, and together you form a team that supports the operations with special pedagogical competence. You also work closely with the teaching teams to develop instruction and create good learning environments for the students.
An important part of the assignment is to adapt teaching based on students' individual needs, strengths, and prerequisites, as well as to design and follow up on additional adjustments and special support. You are also responsible for pedagogical assessments, documentation, and follow-up of students' learning and development.
As part of the school's team, you contribute your competence, engagement, and a solution-focused approach. The work takes place primarily on-site at the school during daytime, in close collaboration with colleagues in a supportive and development-oriented environment.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher with certification, and who want to help create good conditions for students' learning and development. You work in a structured and clear manner and have the ability to analyze and adapt teaching based on students' individual needs and prerequisites.
You easily build good and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and see collaboration as a natural and important part of the work. Through a listening and professional attitude, you contribute to a safe and positive learning environment.
As a person, you are engaged, solution-oriented, and confident in your professional role. You see the students' strengths and opportunities and work to motivate and support them in their development. You appreciate structure and order, but also contribute warmth, flexibility, and a good collaborative climate to the team.
