Together with LKAB, NCC is carrying out extensive earthworks and concrete works related to a new adsorption plant in Vitåfors, Gällivare – a project worth approximately 650 MSEK and a key part of the transition towards future fossil-free iron ore processing and iron sponge production. As Project Engineer for Production Management, you will have a broad, operationally close role where you work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and production organization. You will work close to the operations and be involved in both operational and strategic issues. About the role of Project Engineer for Production Management In this role, you act as a qualified support to the project's leadership and production organization. You work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other key functions in the project, and are responsible for supporting operations within contracts, quality, finance, and project management. A key part of the role is working with contractual legal issues and ensuring that the project is conducted according to agreements, contracts, and set requirements. You handle contract management, follow-up, and act as a support in commercial issues related to the project. The role also involves close collaboration with the project's finance function, where you serve as a vital link between production and finance. You contribute data and reconciliations from operations to cost estimation, forecasting, and financial follow-up to ensure good project management and control through the project's various phases. Quality work is a central part of the position, and you actively work with developing, following up, and ensuring compliance with working methods, routines, and processes in the project. You are also responsible for defining, clarifying, and training the organization in working methods according to legislation, contracts, and NCC's business system. Your profile as Project Engineer for Production Management We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or civil engineering, for example as a building engineer or civil engineer, or equivalent experience. You have a few years of experience from the construction or infrastructure industry and have worked in roles connected to production, contracts, project management, or contract law. We prefer that you have a technical background and thrive in the intersection between production, finance, and contracts. To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• Experience with contract law and contract management
• Understanding of production-oriented work within construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience with financial follow-up, forecasting, and cost estimation
• Good knowledge of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements
• Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner
• Ability to switch between a holistic perspective and detailed levels

Confident in taking a guiding and coordinating role, you have the ability to create structure and engagement in the organization. You thrive in close collaboration with others and have a non-hierarchical working style where you gladly support operations where needed. As a person, you are positive and relationship-building, with the ability to create engagement while being clear, structured, and confident in setting requirements when necessary. We also believe that you appreciate contributing to a good team spirit and a work climate characterized by energy, collaboration, and good humor. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and master both languages well in speech and writing. Additional Information We expect at least 50% presence in Gällivare, a prerequisite for succeeding in the role. However, it is possible to take on this role even for those living elsewhere. The remaining time is preferably spent at a location with an NCC office and/or a location with good travel opportunities to Gällivare, e.g., Stockholm, Malmö, or Gothenburg.
