We are looking for a new colleague to join our special educational team, who together with us can develop the preschool's operations and working methods. You will be part of the special educational team for preschools. The team works for and together with the principal in teams, for all preschool children in the City of Mölndal.

Organizationally, the team is centrally located and has specialized competence in language, communication, TIFT, PECS (TAKK), conversation, vision, hearing, as well as neuropsychiatric disabilities and Marte Meo. All special educators have experience and knowledge regarding preschool education and training. We work systematically and inclusively in our processes with a clear focus on the child.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator in the City of Mölndal, you collaborate with educators and principals, working preventively and health-promoting to contribute to a good inclusive learning environment for our children in preschools and pedagogical care. The assignment includes working with consultation and advice, operational visits, developing learning environments, staff competence development, support in documentation and support measures, as well as supervision of children's speech, language, and communication development. A major focus is placed on supervision both individually and in groups.

You also have external contacts and collaborate with other professions such as operational developers, psychologists, speech therapists, and staff within child medicine and habilitation.

As a special educator, you become a qualified conversation partner and advisor for educators and principals in pedagogical matters.

Qualifications

• You are a qualified special educator with a strong commitment to contributing to a preschool for all.
• Knowledge and experience of NPD (Neuropsychological Disabilities), language, and communication are meritorious.
• You can work independently and clearly and pedagogically recommend further measures.
• You have the ability to interest, inspire, and engage others.
• You are flexible, prioritize well, and adapt your working methods to the needs of the operation.
• As a person, you easily build good relationships and collaborate effectively.
• You are driven, responsible, solution-focused, and have a clear commitment to working with preschool children.
• You are objective, pedagogical, and express yourself well in speech and writing.
• You are experienced in working with digital tools.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. Previous experience in the profession is meritorious.
