About the position
The Healthcare Administration area consolidates the hospital's administrative resources under the Production Staff. Within this area, approximately 640 medical secretaries, administrators, case handlers, and executive assistants work together to ensure high-quality administration and patient safety.
We are now looking for a Classification Officer who will primarily support the Medical Unit and Care Area for Pregnancy and Childbirth within the Theme of Women's Health and Health Professions. The operations include both outpatient and inpatient care in normal and highly specialized obstetrics, as well as fetal medicine in both Solna and Huddinge.
You will become part of an engaged coding team consisting of medical secretaries and midwives, focusing on disease classification, quality, and goal achievement. The primary location is in Solna.
In this role, you will work on ensuring the quality of healthcare documentation and registration, contributing to vital data for care, statistics, and operational follow-up.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Reviewing records from inpatient and outpatient care, and classifying diseases and procedures in the medical record systems Obstetrix and TakeCare, and in the future Cosmic Birth
- Ensuring quality and correct registration according to current regulations and routines
- Monitoring and contributing to ensuring the operation stays aligned with classification and registration work
- Actively participating in the team's development and improvement work
- Providing support to the profession's categories in the operation regarding classification and documentation
- Contributing to the daily patient administrative operations together with the team.
The position is a fixed-term contract for approximately one year, full-time.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Education in healthcare or training as a medical secretary with several years of experience in the profession
- Very good knowledge of disease and procedure classification
- Good knowledge of the medical record systems Obstetrix and TakeCare
- Very good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology
- Good IT skills in Windows and Office 365
Merits:
- Experience with DRG and classification within inpatient care
- Education in disease classification, for example via Emendor or Vårdinformatik
