Do you want to work closely with project management and production in one of Sweden's most complex and exciting construction and industrial projects?

As a Contract Project Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that contractual issues, rights, and obligations are handled in a professional, commercial, and structured manner throughout the entire project lifecycle. This is the role for you if you thrive at the intersection of technology, law, economics, and project management. About the role of Contract Project Engineer As a Contract Project Engineer, you are responsible for managing and monitoring contractual relationships between the project, the client, and subcontractors/suppliers. You act as the project's expert in contracts and contract administration, supporting project management with both operational and strategic issues. You follow the project from the bidding phase through to completion and handover – with a focus on protecting the contractor's interests, ensuring compliance with the contract, and contributing to good risk management, clear documentation, and accurate records. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor, administer, and drive contractual issues and rights in all phases of the project – from bidding to handover.
  • Monitor contractual obligations and rights towards subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that the contract's requirements, obligations, and rights are understood and adhered to within the project organization.
  • In collaboration with production management, identify specific contractual terms that require special administration, documentation, or follow-up.
  • Establish and drive reporting structures regarding contractual issues to project management.
  • Compile and regulate claims against the client and subcontractors as needed.
Your profile as a Contract Project Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree or Master of Science in Engineering, or other relevant post-secondary education.
  • Some years of work experience from the construction industry.
  • Experience from large projects, desirable but not a requirement.
  • Ability to interpret and work based on contracts, agreements, and legal frameworks.

To thrive in this role, we see that you are analytical, structured, and communicative. You are confident in driving issues independently, have a commercial approach, and appreciate working closely with both production and management in a dynamic project environment.
