As a Systems Engineer at Trafikverket (The Swedish Transport Administration), you help make daily life easier for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You do this by contributing to the infrastructure of the future.

Trafikverket's remote control systems (SCADA) for electricity, tunnels, and railway facilities are used to monitor and control complex facility components. The facility is managed from a national perspective. Complex facilities include, among other things, building automation and overall control, such as the City Tunnel, City Line, and the upcoming West Link.

We are looking for you who want a content-rich, varied, and independent job. Examples of tasks:

• System maintenance with the aim of maintaining high availability for users
• Configuration, system image construction, testing, commissioning, handling of fault cases, and troubleshooting of remote control equipment and user interfaces in the SCADA system
• Participate in the work of developing and maintaining the system in consultation with the supplier

The group works nationally and consists of systems engineers and specialists located in different parts of the country. Travel occurs to a limited extent, mainly within the country but also abroad for, for example, courses. The position includes scheduled on-call duty outside regular working hours.

We are looking for you who:

• have a university degree or other post-secondary education in IT, data, electricity, signal technology, or alternatively other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent
• have experience working with remote control, operation, or monitoring of systems in a complex operation
• have good skills in spoken and written Swedish and English
• have normal color vision as our systems require this
• have a driver's license for a passenger car

It is meritorious if you have:

• knowledge of one or more types of remote control equipment, for example RTU and PLC
• knowledge of IP networks, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• experience of programming within automation technology

Other Information

Possible locations are Borlänge, Gävle, Gothenburg, Malmö, Stockholm, and Östersund.

Skype interviews are planned to take place according to the preliminary schedule in weeks 25-26.
