Social Worker for Adult and Social Psychiatry in Vingåker

The workplace offers a 35-hour workweek and the possibility of remote work 1 day per week.

Currently, the Individual and Family Care department consists of a business manager, two unit managers, three team leaders within each team, and a reception. The teams consist of:

  • Adult Unit (Financial Assistance, Elderly and Disability Care, Adults)
  • Children/Youth (Child Investigators, Family Home Secretaries, Intervention Handlers)
  • Reception/First Line (Reception, outpatient care, support and treatment, Administration, Interventions without needs assessment)

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who want to strengthen and develop our work within Adult/Social Psychiatry.

The work involves official authority functions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).

The Social Secretary is responsible for investigating, assessing, and deciding on interventions for adults with substance abuse and addiction issues, violence in close relationships, as well as individuals applying for interventions within social psychiatry, with the aim of strengthening the individual's life situation, functional capacity, and opportunities for an independent life.

The work should be conducted in a legally secure, equal, and compliant manner with current legislation and local guidelines.

Collaboration and cooperation both internally and externally, with other authorities such as healthcare, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, relatives, etc.

The Joint Illness Investigation (SOU 2023:5 From Parts to Whole) is ongoing and may involve a shift in responsibility distribution between social services and healthcare for people with mental illness and addiction. It is proposed to enter into force on 2028-01-01.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a degree in social work or an education we consider equivalent. You should have previous experience from the field, official authority functions, and good knowledge of current and applicable legislation.

Previous experience with Treserva is meritorious.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and take active responsibility in your work.

Good computer skills and experience with documentation for legally secure work are required.

It is important that you have a professional attitude and approach and that you are a person interested in developing social work and seeing possibilities instead of obstacles. Language skills in addition to Swedish and English are an extra merit.
