About the workplace

Kronaskolan F-6 is located on a hill in Älvängen with views over the Göta River valley. Kronaskolan is an educational unit that houses several operations; lower primary school, middle primary school, preschool, and adapted primary school. We work with the core idea that all children are everyone's children, to create the best conditions for becoming a really good school. Together, we have a shared responsibility for approximately 915 children and students.

Kronaskolan F-6 is located in two different buildings. From the school year 2026-2027, grades F-3 will be taught in Kronahuset and grades 4-6 in Madenhuset. For the upcoming school year, we have approximately 470 students taught in grades F-3, distributed across 21 classes.

The premises are modern and functional, and the schoolyard invites activity. Kronahuset has a full-size sports hall, subject rooms for art, home economics, music, crafts, and a school library.

Responsibilities

As a class teacher in preschool class, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, both individually and in collaboration with your colleagues in your work team. You work to create a safe atmosphere where students dare to explore and feel a desire to learn. You vary working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments based on the students' needs. You have a big heart for the students and a solution-focused and inclusive approach.

Your assignment is based on current curricula and steering documents with a strong focus on awakening curiosity for learning and the students' social development. You see documentation of the students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work.

In addition to the daily work in student groups, you are responsible for planning, follow-up, and evaluation of the operations. You will collaborate both within and outside your own profession, in the work team and with colleagues in other functions at the school. You contribute to developing the school's operations with a focus on preschool class activities. In addition to time in preschool class, working hours also occur in the after-school club activities.

Having a professional attitude towards students, guardians, and colleagues is a given. Your professional role includes holding parent meetings and development talks. Together with the rest of the school staff, you work towards the goal that our school should have high goal achievement and safe students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in grades F-3. The position is located in preschool class. If the conditions in the organization allow, it may become relevant for you to follow the students through their first school year up to grade 3, which creates continuity and security in learning.

You see yourself as an important part of the work to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being. You are engaged and want to develop students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence, as well as prepare them for life and the future.

You are positive, flexible, and relationship-building, well-rooted in the school's value base, have a good approach, and want to work with us to make the school an accessible operation for everyone. You are confident in your professional role and have a very good ability to create trusting relationships with students and guardians.

You appreciate the benefits of belonging to a work team and have the ability to both follow jointly made decisions and contribute actively to the school's development by coming up with your own ideas and encouraging new thinking. In addition to collaboration with the work team, you also collaborate with other work teams and the student health service. You have the ability to both give and receive help constructively.

In the classroom, you have clear pedagogical leadership. You build relationships and create a safe and structured environment where students see each other as resources and learn together. At the same time, you have the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs when required.

Other

We place great importance on personal suitability, and words like structured, clear with strong social competence, and flexibility should fit you well. Attach your teacher certification to the application. Interviews take place continuously.
