If the trucks don't run around the clock, much of our society comes to a halt – and our task is to ensure that never happens.
As a Service Advisor at Berners Heavy Vehicles, you are the crucial link between our customers – the transport companies – and the workshop. We offer you a social role where you receive direct feedback on your work and the opportunity to make a real difference in your customers' daily lives.
About the role of Service Advisor
In the role of Service Advisor for our truck workshop, you will guide customers through the entire booking process.
For example, you will work with:
- Receiving customers and scheduling trucks for service or repair.
- Understanding and interpreting both customer needs and performing a needs analysis of the vehicle.
- Providing a cost estimate to the customer and creating a work order for the mechanic.
- Coordinating work between the customer and the workshop.
- Ensuring the work is completed on time and to the right quality, and providing status updates to the customer.
- Handling complaints and after-sales inquiries.
The role involves contact with our engaged and returning customers – both through personal meetings and via phone, email, and lead system – as well as close collaboration with our competent mechanics and foremen.
About the team
In Östersund, one of our larger workshops is located, and at the turn of the year, we moved to a completely new facility in Verksmon. Here, we are approximately 30 employees, so you are never alone with your questions. There is broad expertise available, and your colleagues are more than happy to help if you have any queries. You will become part of a team consisting of service advisors, spare parts advisors, foremen, and service market salespeople.
The new workshop is fully adapted to our service market, and our employees have been involved in designing the work environment to create the best possible conditions.
Here is what we particularly like about the new facility:
- Large windows and generous light intake.
- A work environment with a stable climate, sound dampening, and separate spaces for noisy tasks.
- Adaptation for electrification and battery work through an insulated workshop shell with a high cleanliness level.
- Staff gym, sun terrace, and proximity to forest trails for running, cycling, and skiing.

We are looking for someone who...
To meet the customer and conduct a thorough needs analysis, you must have technical understanding and interest in how trucks work. Furthermore, you have work experience from a service profession and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
As a person, you are good at collaborating and building relationships with both customers and colleagues. You always deliver a high level of service by being accommodating and solution-focused. To succeed in the role, you are structured and have the ability to handle a sometimes fast-paced environment.
It is an advantage if you have:
- C or CE driver's license.
- Experience from heavy vehicles, the automotive industry, machinery, or another workshop.
