Do you want to be part of an exciting assignment and contribute to the University's internationalization? We are now looking for an International Coordinator to strengthen our internationalization work, with a particular focus on recruiting international fee-paying students.

The position is located within the International Office, which, together with three international coordinators, is part of the Department of Education and Student Support. The department includes, among other things, admissions, examinations, timetable and exam administration, student services, and student support functions. The International Office is responsible for the University's student exchange agreements, relations with partner universities, and the management of the Erasmus program. The department plays a central role in contributing to inclusive and responsible internationalization and attracting students from around the world through international student recruitment. Our international coordinators contribute expertise and support to the organization in internationalization matters.

Your role

As an International Coordinator, you are expected to contribute to strengthening internal cooperation and external collaboration in accordance with the University's internationalization goals. You work to ensure that processes within our area of responsibility are conducted in a structured and efficient manner, and you approach the opportunities offered by digitalization with curiosity to develop methods and tools in daily work. The role combines outward-facing activities with ongoing operational case handling and strategic work. The assignment includes working, both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and other functions within the University, to:

  • Analyze and develop recruitment efforts towards prioritized international markets to attract fee-paying students
  • Plan, implement, and follow up on digital and physical recruitment activities, such as student fairs, webinars, mailings, and campaigns
  • Coordinate student participation in international recruitment and communication activities
  • Collaborate with external partners, recruitment agents, and other actors within international recruitment
  • Process international agreements, scholarships, and mobility programs
  • Contribute to the development of the University's internationalization work and international collaborations.

The work involves many contact points and takes place in close collaboration with educational environments, students, colleagues within the University, as well as external partners and authorities, both nationally and internationally.

Additional tasks may be included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree at least at the first cycle level in a subject area relevant to the position
  • Documented good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English
  • Documented good collaboration and initiative skills
  • Good ability to work both independently and in teams.

We will also value the following assessment criteria in the employment:

  • Experience of intercultural context and qualified administrative work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to handle many contact points within/external to the organization.
  • Experience of working with international collaborations, networks, and/or agreements.
  • Experience of international student recruitment and internationalization work within the higher education sector.
  • Experience of international and digital marketing
  • Experience of processing EU programs including financial work.
  • Good ability to plan, organize, implement projects, and achieve set goals in work.
  • Good knowledge of databases, the Office package, especially Excel, lead management, and case management systems.
  • Experience of working with responsible internationalization.

In this position, great emphasis will be placed on experience of international student recruitment and internationalization work within the higher education sector, as well as experience of processing EU programs including financial work. Travel may become relevant as part of the work, both nationally and internationally.

Employment type: The position is a permanent appointment. The University may apply a six-month probationary period.
