About the company

You will become part of an international SaaS company with B2B customers and partners across Europe. The company develops and manages cloud-based solutions used in business-critical workflows by clients with high demands for availability, scalability, and security.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will join an experienced development team responsible for further developing the company's scalable cloud service. The work is done in close collaboration with sister teams, both in Sweden and internationally, where the teams own the entire lifecycle from development to operations.

Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Backend Developer, you will work on further developing and maintaining a global logistics platform in a microservice-based architecture with a strong DevOps culture. The team has full responsibility for the entire lifecycle – from design and implementation to operations and improvements in production.

You will work closely with other developers, product teams, and sister teams within the company. The focus is on robust, scalable solutions that meet high demands for availability, performance, and correctness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and further developing backend services in a modern microservice architecture.
• Working with functional programming on the JVM platform.
• Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying robust services.
• Working with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
• Maintaining and further developing user interfaces in React when needed.
• Collaborating closely with other teams, both nationally and internationally.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Post-secondary education in IT, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with Java and the JVM platform, preferably Scala.
• Experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with:

• Frontend development in React.
• Transport logistics and related information flows.
• Optimizing development processes with AI-based tools.
• Building AI-based products.
