About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will become part of a technology team working closely with project management, automation, and customers worldwide. You will work on the design and development of software for advanced and technically complex projects within crane automation and marine systems.

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and take responsibility through several parts of the project lifecycle – from design and development to implementation and customer contact. The role also involves travel to customers and projects internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Design and development of project-specific software
  • PLC programming and development of control systems
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the different phases of the project
  • Participation in testing, commissioning, and customer support
  • Contribute to technical improvements and innovative solutions within automation
Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who have a strong interest in technology and are driven by development in an international and innovative environment. To succeed in the role, we believe you:

  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a similar field
  • Have knowledge of PLC programming or programming in languages such as C++
  • Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Have experience with automation, control systems, or marine systems
  • Speak Swedish
  • Have experience with international projects or customer contact

  • You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others
  • You take responsibility and work in a structured manner, even in technically complex environments
Practical Information

Start: As agreed
Location: Västerås
Scope: Full-time
Employment Type: You will work as a consultant for 12 months with the ambition to subsequently become a direct employee of the client.
