We are now looking for a personal assistant for an 11-year-old boy outside of Vollsjö. Since there is no proximity to public transport, you must have access to your own car.

Employment level: Part-time. According to agreement or extra as needed, primarily weekends and holidays. Initially approx. 4 hours per occasion. Long experience is not a requirement, although it is advantageous. The most important thing is that you are sensitive, have the right attitude, commitment, and the desire to work long-term, as well as that the personal chemistry between you and the client works.

As an assistant, it is part of the job to be helpful with daily chores and assist with hygiene and care. You need to be calm, flexible, positive, and have an easy time adapting to another person's needs. You will play a central role in his daily life. You support him in daily life and contribute to him having the opportunity to live an active and meaningful life. It is also important that you are sensitive and adapt when he needs to take it easy because his energy is low.

Our client enjoys cooking, baking, swimming, walking, and going on excursions. He lives on a farm together with his parents. He has an intellectual disability, is wheelchair-bound, and has limited energy.

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will help with, for example:

• Everything in daily life
• Personal hygiene
• Help with eating and cooking
• Mobility (the boy uses a wheelchair, standing frame, and standing desk, among other things, and lifting aids are available)
• Support in structuring and organizing
• Social support, often in situations that arise in interaction with other people
• Support for a rich and meaningful life

Requirements

• Positive and proactive
• Get things done, be self-reliant and responsible
• Fluent in Swedish
• Calm and sensitive
• Do not work when showing symptoms of illness as the client is sensitive to infections
• Driver's license and own car (as there is no public transport)
• Non-smoker

Advantageous Qualifications

• Experience in care work or similar
• Experience in caring for children
• Experience communicating with signs, picture support, or communication iPad
• Experience with different aids, e.g., standing frame and standing desk
