Description of the research environment: Health Law Research Centre

The Health Law Research Centre is a research environment within the faculty focusing on research, teaching, and collaboration in the field of health law, including medical law, global health law, e-health, and aspects of social law.

The environment is distinguished by socially relevant research, often with interdisciplinary, critical, and/or international perspectives within both public law and civil law, as well as international law. Responsibilities

As a research assistant, your tasks may vary, but you must be enrolled at the faculty where the work is conducted, and the tasks should provide insight into the academic world.

The responsibilities for this position include, among other things:

  • Managing a shared website, a blog, and social media channels.
  • Handling email lists and newsletters.
  • Assisting researchers in contacts with external parties and stakeholders (universities, authorities, courts).
  • Administering seminar activities and conferences within the subject area.
  • Assisting visiting researchers.
  • Coordinating and assisting with physical and hybrid events organized by the research environment.
  • Assisting with text editing and reference management.

Qualifications

According to the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance (Chapter 5, Section 10), only those who are actively pursuing undergraduate or advanced level studies at the current faculty and have not yet graduated are eligible for employment as a research assistant.

Requirements for the position are that you:

  • Are studying at the Faculty of Law.
  • Have very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Have an interest in and have successfully completed courses in the social dimension of civil law and in public law.
  • Are collaborative and have good ability to work independently and creatively.

Merits for the position include:

  • Experience in administration and service, as well as outward-facing activities.
  • Interest in legal science and/or interdisciplinary research.

Other Information

The employment is fixed-term and starts on 2026-08-31 or by agreement, and ends on 2027-01-17. The position is 30% of full-time.

The employment must not negatively affect the research assistant's studies and should not be combined with other employment.

The employment is covered by the flexible working hours agreement.
