Your Assignment
Rudsjövägen Group Home is an accommodation under the Support and Service Act (LSS) located in a quiet villa area in Duvnäs, close to buses that go to Slussen. The building is a detached house containing six apartments as well as communal areas with a large outdoor space. In the group home live adults of varying ages with intellectual disabilities. Some of the residents also have physical disabilities.
Rudsjövägen Group Home is part of a business area together with another service apartment, which together have an assistant operations manager. As a support assistant, you will work to provide support and service together with the residents based on their individual needs. This means you will help create conditions for security, personal development, and good living conditions. The focus of the assignment is always on the customers; we therefore adapt to their needs and respect their wishes and desires. Daily documentation is an important part of the work to guarantee good quality and safety in our assignment. The work is scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
The position involves varied tasks, including support and service regarding:
- Cleaning
- Personal care
- Hygiene tasks
- Medication management
Is this you?
We are looking for you who have experience within the disability sector and have a good understanding of what our assignment under LSS entails. You are accustomed to and have the prerequisites to work independently with customers and are confident in the responsibility this entails. Furthermore, you have high cooperation skills and are a team player. You naturally put the customer's well-being and needs first, have a calm and good attitude towards everyone you meet, and think service in all situations. Our customers have a comprehensive need for support in everyday life, and you therefore need to be accustomed to care interventions.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Your Experience
To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you have:
- Completed education within healthcare/care or child and leisure with courses taken within disability/special pedagogy
- Experience with autism and cognitive disability among adults
- Experience with low-affective handling
- Computer and documentation experience
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good physical fitness
If you also have education and/or experience in IBIC, AAC (AKK), clarifying pedagogy, and self-harm behaviors, it is strongly meritorious.
