With the goal of "Developing world-class competence for a sustainable future and a good life," the Nature Management Administration runs education programs within upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, and university college level vocational education. The nature schools Axevalla Hästcentrum, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological University College function as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and pilot activities at the forefront on the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Region Västra Götaland.

Description

Axevalla Hästcentrum is located on the outskirts of Skara. On the seven-hectare facility, the future generations of the horse industry are educated. Here, you will find an upper secondary school, adult vocational education, and university college level vocational education where students read programs adapted to the industry. The school's new facility, which connects the teaching stables with a modern school environment, was put into use in the autumn of 2024.

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you collaborate with teachers in identifying students' needs. You conduct and follow up on mapping, investigations, and the development of action plans. You have a coordinating role in the work regarding extra adjustments and special support. Supervisory conversations with staff as well as communication with guardians are important tasks. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a holistic view of the student's learning and abilities and an interest in actively participating in the school's development work.

The special needs teacher is part of the school health team at the school, along with the school counselor, study and career counselor, and school nurse. In our administration, student health is prioritized highly. We are a small, resource-rich school with great freedom in our work, and here you get the chance to make a real difference.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed special needs teacher. Experience from working within upper secondary school is meritorious. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and have a good ability to translate these into practice in daily work. You work on behalf of the principal but are expected to be independent and take personal responsibility for the processes you drive.

We are looking for you who have an approach based on meeting the student where they are knowledge-wise and trying to find methods to take the student as far as possible. You need to have necessary insights into the laws and regulations that apply to the school system.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A Category B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

Conditions

Permanent employment with 100% engagement, holiday service. Work may occur in all of the Nature Management Administration's educational forms. Start date according to agreement.
