Odenslund 4H Farm is an open and inclusive meeting place where children and young people grow through responsibility, participation, and practical learning. The operations are based on the 4H value system – learning by doing, democracy, responsibility, respect, and community.
We are now looking for a temporary Operations Manager who, together with employees, volunteer leaders, and members, wants to contribute to developing a safe, meaningful, and educational activity for children, young people, and the general public.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the farm. You lead the activities in line with 4H's ideas and values and create conditions for children's and young people's participation, influence, and learning.
The duties include, among other things:
- Leading, coordinating, and developing the farm's activities based on the 4H value system.
- Personnel responsibility, supervision, and scheduling.
- Administrative tasks, documentation, and planning.
- Collaboration with 4H, the municipality, schools, and other partners.
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and pedagogical environment for children and young people.
- Practical work within the activities.
The work involves evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Education in animal care and/or documented experience working with animals.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Shares the 4H value system and has a pedagogical approach.
Meritorious:
- Pedagogical education or experience.
- Horse training or experience working with horses.
- Administrative education or experience.
- Experience in voluntary association work or association democracy.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and digital administration.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is confident, responsible, and structured, with good ability to lead others in everyday life. You are receptive, relationship-building, and have an easy time inspiring both children, young people, and adults. You must be able to switch between strategic responsibility and practical work.
