We are looking for a course leader for our art school for children and young people for the autumn of 2026. The work involves teaching during weekday evenings or on Saturdays and Sundays during the day.

The position involves assignments of approximately 2–4 hours per week. It is a hourly-paid position over a 12–14 week period, with breaks for school holidays. The assignment runs through autumn 2026, approximately from August/September to December. The position is located in Malmö.

The association Aktiv Ungdom in Malmö is a children's and youth association that operates activities for children and young people, primarily aged 5–14. We offer courses during weekday evenings and weekends in the fields of dance, theater, and art school. Our studio is located in central Malmö.

We are looking for you who are passionate about visual arts and creativity. It is a given that you are creative and create yourself, and it is desirable that you have some form of education, at minimum aesthetic art at the upper secondary level.

You should feel comfortable teaching both drawing and painting, and have a good grasp of these fundamentals. You must also enjoy a bit of mess and clutter, as working with children and young people using color and form often leads to some mess.

We are looking for you who:

• Enjoy teaching your knowledge in drawing, painting, and creativity to children and young people.
• Are a social person who can create community and security for all children and young people, as well as for their parents/guardians.
• Enjoy development, both in yourself and in your students.
• Are self-reliant, as you are solely responsible during your lesson, including everything from opening/closing/arming the premises to taking attendance. You may work together with an assistant.
• Experience working with children and young people is a plus.

The association Aktiv Ungdom Malmö is a children's and youth association with cultural activities for children and young people in the fields of dance, theater, musical, and art school. Our ideology and working method are based on method work with age divisions, with a strong focus on the social aspect of the group. We naturally also value the importance of developing both the group and the development of each student, but entirely without an elitist mindset. We also have quite a few workshops, holiday activities, and events throughout the year.

At our art school, we work with the entire process as an "artist" from start and basics to an art exhibition at the end of the term. We work according to the motto "learning for life".
