About Torpskolan

Torpskolan is a traditional school located in the center of Lerum, close to both transportation and shops. Approximately 75 staff members work here, with high qualifications and great commitment. We strive to offer our students an education of high quality so that each of them can develop their unique individuality. The school has a student health team consisting of school nurses, counselors, school psychologists, special needs educators, special education teachers, and school psychologists. The student health team works closely with the teaching teams to give students the best possible conditions to achieve high academic results. The school accommodates approximately 600 students in grades 6-9 and is preparing during the coming school year to also welcome grades F-5 in autumn 2027.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to be part of our competent team at Torpskolan. Here is a unique opportunity to help build the lower and/or middle school from scratch, as we will welcome our first classes in grades F-5 in autumn 2027. You want to contribute to raising academic results and you are passionate about developing your teaching so that it suits all students. You will belong to a work team where we place great emphasis on mentorship and all that entails.

You are also part of the subject group in Swedish and/or Social Studies, where we expect active participation together with your subject colleagues to develop teaching so that it is differentiated and varied. You plan your teaching both independently and in the subject team, you conduct your teaching, and then work actively to evaluate it to find ways to reach all the students you meet.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified subject teacher in Swedish and Social Studies for the lower and middle school.

You have documented good experience in meeting students' needs, both at the individual and group level, and in planning and conducting your teaching based on identified needs. You can work both individually and in teams. You are structured, engaged, and positive. You are good at creating and maintaining good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and other collaborating partners. You are flexible and solution-oriented in relation to the varying needs of the operations.
