The Education Office (EdO) is one of the Professional Services units at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). We currently consist of about 58 staff members working within EdO. We function as a hub in the SSE journey. We provide and develop professional academic support for all stakeholders and students (BSc, MSc, PhD) during their time at SSE. This includes assessment, program management, scholarships, international collaborations, quality measurements, academic support, central course and exam coordination, degrees, and certificates.

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and service-oriented Service Specialist to join our Info Center team within the Education Office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys working with people and wants to deliver a welcoming, professional, and high-quality service experience. Based in the Info Center, you will be the first point of contact for students and visitors, while also supporting colleagues within the Education Office to ensure smooth operations. Through your daily interactions, you will play an important role in shaping the experience and impression of the Stockholm School of Economics.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide service and support to students and visitors in our Info Center
- Handle and administer inquiries and guide customers through various channels
- Continuously update our case management system in dialogue with different units and stakeholders
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, refer students to the appropriate contacts within the organization, and issue certificates
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the needs of various departments, including assisting with projects and tasks as needed
Who we are looking for
You are a positive and engaged person who contributes to a professional atmosphere, good morale, and spreads energy in your work and interactions with others. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You work well both independently and in a team, and you adapt easily to changing circumstances while handling challenging situations. You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a service-oriented and professional approach. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, and you have an interest in how digital development can improve customer service.
Requirements:
- Experience in service or customer-facing roles (e.g., reception, hotel/restaurant, retail, café, or events)
- Fluency in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience with common computer programs, such as Office 365
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within higher education/university
- Experience working in environments similar to SSE Info Center or hotel reception
Conditions
This is a permanent full-time position, with an initial probationary period of six months.
