About the Assignment

As a Chef Instructor within the Prison Service Education (KVA), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on education within the restaurant and food sector in an environment where order, safety, and consistency are central.

The education is conducted on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) and aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for work in kitchens and meal services. The teaching must maintain high quality and be carried out in accordance with current regulatory documents, safety requirements, and Astar’s pedagogical model.

The assignment includes:

• conducting teacher-led and structured education with clear goals and progression
• linking professional knowledge to labor market requirements, routines, and responsibility
• working systematically with feedback and follow-up on participants' development
• ensuring a professional, calm, and consistent approach in teaching, adapted to the KVA environment

We are looking for you who:

• are a vocational teacher in restaurant and food, or have substantial professional experience as a chef combined with pedagogical ability
• have experience working with clear frameworks, structure, and high expectations
• can combine practical professional skills with clear pedagogical leadership
• take full responsibility for the quality and implementation of the education

Requirements related to the Prison Service

Since the position is conducted within the Prison Service's educational activities (KVA), it is a prerequisite that you meet the Prison Service's requirements for employment. This means you need to undergo and pass the security checks and controls applied by the Prison Service.

Employment can only take place on the condition that these requirements are met.
