Vestia is building tomorrow's sustainable buildings – do you want to be part of it?

Vestia Construction Group AB is an innovative and growing construction company with a strong focus on sustainability. We build homes, schools, nursing homes, offices, industrial and leisure facilities – always in collaboration with our customers. Despite a challenging economic climate, we see that the demand for sustainable buildings continues to grow, and we are proud to be able to meet our customers' needs for sustainable competence. Our goal is to be climate neutral throughout our entire value chain by 2045 at the latest – and we want you on this journey!

We are now looking for a KMA Coordinator (Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health & Safety) who wants to help drive our work in quality, environment, and occupational health & safety forward. Are you someone who is passionate about these issues and wants to play a central role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards? Then this might be the job for you!

About the role

As a KMA Coordinator for Project Kaj 16, you are responsible for establishing, driving, and following up on the project's working methods regarding quality and occupational health & safety, ensuring that production is carried out safely, controlled, and with the right quality from start to final inspection.

You work both strategically and operationally to ensure that our construction projects are carried out in a safe, high-quality, and environmentally conscious manner. Environmental issues are included in the role but are secondary.

You will work closely with our project teams and maintain ongoing contact with clients, authorities, and subcontractors.

In this role, you will become part of our sustainability team and collaborate with our sister company SSEA to improve and develop our working methods. You will have a colleague in the same role whom you work closely with.

Your main responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update project, environmental, and quality plans.
  • Participate in risk assessments and support work with occupational health & safety plans.
  • Support work with control plans and self-inspections.
  • Conduct safety and environmental rounds and be responsible for chemical management.
  • Ensure that work complies with local regulations and authority requirements.
  • Support reporting and handling of accidents and near-misses, and ensure that accident and near-miss reports are processed and closed.
  • Participate in internal audits, supplier audits, certification audits, and authority inspections.
  • Be responsible for compiling final documentation.
  • Reporting in accordance with ESRS.
  • Experience feedback and knowledge sharing within the company.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in quality, environment, and occupational health & safety and who thrive in a role where you can combine strategic thinking with practical work. We work exclusively in partnering projects, which means that your collaborative skills are particularly important for success in this role. As a person, you are engaged and structured. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a role where you can take initiative and drive the work forward.

We would like you to have

  • Relevant education or experience from similar roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in KMA work, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Good understanding of ISO certifications and how they are applied in projects.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn new digital tools.
  • Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

It is an advantage if you have experience with construction-specific programs such as Dalux, Infobric Field, or similar.

Why Vestia?

At Vestia, you will work in a company where we combine the small company's curiosity, flexibility, and closeness to the customer with the large company's competence, experience, and delivery capacity. This gives us a unique position in our home market in Gothenburg and its surrounding municipalities. We have a strong value base and a clear focus on sustainability, which permeates everything we do.

We are growing and developing our operations – and we look forward to welcoming a new team player to our sustainability team!
