About the Company
Gryaab AB operates the "New Rya" program, which involves the development and expansion of the Rya Wastewater Treatment Plant to meet future capacity and functional requirements. As part of this program, a new pump station for incoming water, named Pump Station IN, is planned.
The Pump Station IN project is a highly complex infrastructure and industrial project in the billion-kroner class. The project includes extensive rock excavation approximately 30 meters below ground, tunnel breakthrough, advanced concrete structures with superstructure, and a comprehensive mechanical contract for pumps and cleaning facilities.
The object is located within Gryaab AB's operational area and adjacent to Gryaab AB's operations in Gothenburg.
About the Role
Gryaab is seeking consultant support in the role of Deputy Project Manager for the Pump Station IN project within the framework of the New Rya program. The role involves supporting Gryaab's Project Manager in planning, controlling, coordinating, and monitoring the project through all project phases.
The assignment covers technical, organizational, and administrative tasks and requires close collaboration with project management, design organizations, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
The Deputy Project Manager must be able to work both operationally and strategically, and independently take responsibility for defined sub-areas or tasks as needed.
Role and Responsibilities
As Deputy Project Manager, you will among other things:
- Support the Project Manager in the daily control and coordination of the project
- Monitor time, cost, risk, quality, and progress
- Coordinate the project's various technical areas, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Participate in project, design, and construction meetings
- Prepare and monitor project documentation, schedules, meeting minutes, and decision support materials
- Support planning and execution of design, procurement, and production
- Identify, monitor, and manage risks and deviations
- Monitor contracts, agreements, and deliveries
- Support financial monitoring and budget work
- Coordinate and monitor tasks within the project organization
- Support communication and collaboration with internal and external actors
- Support the development and implementation of working methods, routines, and processes within the project
- Support resource planning and staffing based on the project's different phases and needs
Competency Requirements
We expect you to meet all the mandatory requirements listed below, which should be clearly reflected in your CV:
- At least eight years of experience in a leading position on the client side and/or contractor side in projects or programs within the construction and infrastructure industry
- Experience must be verified through three reference assignments, or alternatively one major assignment lasting at least three years within the last six years
- At least one reference project must have had a total program or project cost of at least 300 million SEK and multidisciplinary coordination between several technical and installation disciplines
- At least one reference project must have involved complex infrastructure work with significant elements of rock shafts and/or rock tunnels
- At least one reference project must have involved extensive cast-in-place concrete structures
- The reference assignments must confirm that you have had an active and leading role in the coordination, planning, and execution of the project's various technical areas
- You must be able to start the assignment according to the times specified in the contract terms
- You must have fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- You must have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English
- You must have good knowledge of contract law
Value-Added Requirements
- Highly relevant experience from large and complex infrastructure projects
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination between several technical areas and actors
- Experience with projects involving rock works, cast-in-place concrete structures, and technically complex installations
- Experience in roles with a high degree of responsibility, coordination, and leadership
- Ability to create structure, progress, and clear communication in complex project organizations
- Ability to identify and manage risks and critical moments
- Good understanding of collaboration between clients, designers, and contractors
- Ability to translate previous experience into the current assignment
Assignment Information
Assignment Type: Consulting assignment according to ABK 09
Assignment Period: From the date the agreement is signed by both parties until the pump station is commissioned and the Pump Station IN project is concluded
Notice Period: Mutual notice period of three months
Scope: Assumed to correspond to a full-time position
Location: Gothenburg
Workplace: The assignment must be performed entirely on-site at Gryaab
Project Schedule: Design is planned to start in spring 2026 and production in 2027
Project Completion: The Pump Station IN project is expected to be completed in 2034
