Mechanic / HVAC Technician at JOWA AB

We are looking for a mechanic or HVAC technician who wants to help protect our seas! At JOWA in Kållered, you will become part of an engaged team of approximately 30 people. We have a strong forward momentum, a pleasant atmosphere, and a unique working environment in a natural manor setting.

JOWA is a global company specializing in environmental and safety solutions for the shipping industry. A significant part of the company's development and production of environmental systems for the global market takes place at the headquarters in Kållered. The Swedish office plays a central role in designing and delivering products to international customers and is responsible for the company's global marketing and sales.

JOWA now wants to strengthen its team in Gothenburg and is looking for an engaged and hands-on mechanic/HVAC technician.

Responsibilities:

As a mechanic at JOWA, you will be an important part of the production process. You often work early in the process, assembling pipes, valves, pumps, etc.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Assembling systems from scratch with frames, pumps, piping, and valves, which are then taken over by electricians for connection and testing
• Conducting leak tests (pressure testing)
• Welding (minor part of the work)
• Collaboration with the electrical workshop, project managers, and the technical department

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least a high school education
• Has experience with HVAC/plumbing work
• Is hands-on and solution-oriented
• Has a good understanding of reading drawings and flowcharts
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in daily work

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in the marine industry
• Experience working with piping and pumps
• Experience with welding
• Forklift license
