About the role

We are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the Investment business area for a railway project in the Västra Götaland region. Here, you will become part of the Swedish Transport Administration's (Trafikverket) important work to improve Sweden's infrastructure. In the role of Project Engineer within railways, you will be a key support to the Project Manager. You will be part of investment projects from design to construction, contributing with leadership, control, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

The role involves a broad spectrum of tasks within project management and coordination, below are some examples of these.

  • Manage system support, create and follow up on the project schedule
  • Risk and requirement management
  • Set up, update, follow up, and drive the project's economy in current system support
  • Coordinate communication between different stakeholders
  • Handle communication with external parties as well as internal sections
  • Act as a coordinator and support to the project managers and the rest of the project organization

We are looking for someone who

  • Has at least a university degree in engineering in economics, construction technology, or something else we assess as equivalent
  • Has at least three years of experience within the last six years of work as a Project Engineer, Contracting Engineer, Project Coordinator, or another job role we assess as equivalent
  • Has experience in forecasting, cost follow-up, and invoicing management
  • Has experience in risk management and scheduling in projects using the work tool MS Project
  • Has unimpeded skills in spoken and written Swedish
  • Has a valid Category B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have

  • Worked at the Swedish Transport Administration with the administrative systems C7, the project portal, and Projectwise
  • Education in AB, ABT & ABK
  • Education in BASÄVISTA (working alone on tracks)
