Description

Are you a clear, empathetic, and engaged person who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are now looking for one or more engaged and secure support pedagogues/social pedagogues for a new operation in the form of housing with special services for children and young people within the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

With us, you will have the opportunity to work in an operation where care, development, and the individual's needs are at the center. Initially, there is a housing unit for one child that is current. Your task will be to create and maintain a secure and predictable daily life for the child together with colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

As a support pedagogue/social pedagogue with us, you work to create a secure, developmental, and meaningful daily life for the child. Together with colleagues, the child's family, and other professionals, you contribute to ensuring the child receives the best possible support based on their individual needs and conditions.

The work includes among other things:

• Working closely with the child to support their individual needs and development
• Planning, implementing, and adapting activities based on the child's abilities and interests
• Creating clear, secure, and predictable routines
• Collaborating with guardians, colleagues, and external actors
• Documenting and following up on implementation plans and interventions
• Working with low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and secure environment

The work involves working every other weekend, and in addition to working in the specific assignment, some work shifts for scheduling reasons will take place within other LSS operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Post-secondary education in the field of disability, such as support pedagogue, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience in pedagogical work with children and young people with disabilities
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Class B driver's license

You are secure, empathetic, and engaged in your work with children and young people. You have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and can keep your calm even in challenging situations. You have a professional attitude.

We would appreciate if you have experience with:

• Work with children and young people within LSS
• Working with social documentation and implementation plans
• Knowledge of problematic behaviors and low-affective handling
• Ability to mentor and support colleagues regarding pedagogical methods
• Ability to create structure, security, and participation
• Clarifying pedagogy
• AKK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), such as sign support and picture support
• MI – Motivational Interviewing
• Low-affective handling
