Make a difference. Every day.

Do you have a strong interest in people, enjoy close teamwork, and believe that patient interaction is an essential part of the job? Then this position is for you!

The Adult Psychiatry Unit (VO) in Kristianstad provides outpatient care in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Simrishamn, and Ystad. The emergency clinic and all inpatient care are located in Kristianstad. Residents of Ystad, Skurup, and Sjöbo receive inpatient care and emergency services in Malmö and Lund. Our catchment area covers the north and south-eastern municipalities of Scania, with a total population of approximately 300,000 people. We collaborate closely with the municipalities through joint meetings and care planning. Despite our wide geographical spread, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Ystad is a well-functioning, fully staffed, and stable unit where we value both our colleagues and our patients. We diagnose and treat patients with affective disorders, psychotic illnesses, anxiety conditions, depression, as well as various personality syndromes and neuropsychiatric conditions. We provide stepwise and individually adapted treatment both in groups and individually to meet patient needs. Here, you will join a team of approximately 50 employees who are genuinely interested in providing the best possible care. We work in cross-professional specialist teams to collectively address patient needs. The teams consist of doctors, psychologists, nurses, care assistants/therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and social workers.

The mobile team is based at the Ystad clinic but is also affiliated with the Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Simrishamn. The catchment area includes the municipalities of Skurup, Ystad, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Simrishamn. The team receives assignments from adult psychiatry outpatient and inpatient services, with the goal of preventing hospital admissions and working on suicide prevention after discharge. The work is primarily conducted through home visits but also via telephone. The team has three positions, and working hours are during the day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A beloved colleague has taken on a different role within our operations, and therefore we are now looking for a new colleague to join our mobile team!

Responsibilities include performing scheduled home visits, providing support via telephone, and handling various administrative tasks, including documentation. We provide psychosocial support and conduct psychiatric assessments during a limited assignment period. We also coordinate with other healthcare providers as needed. Since we work on assignments, our workload can vary significantly from day to day and week to week.

We in the team complement each other well with different experiences and educations. An important common factor is that we believe interaction is an essential part of the job, both in patient work and in how we collaborate. As we are a small team and always work in pairs during home visits, it is crucial that we enjoy working together and share a common value base. We focus heavily on ensuring the individual feels heard and involved in their care, and we strive to be as flexible as possible within the given frameworks.

When you start, you will receive an introduction tailored to your knowledge and experience to help you integrate into the work and the team as effectively as possible. The unit is engaged in ongoing development and improvement work in various areas, giving you great opportunities to influence both your own work and the clinic's operations. We also offer training and further development based on your interests and the unit's needs.

The position is a temporary assignment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
