Do you want to combine IT expertise with independent auditing in an organization central to Sweden's economy? As an IT Auditor at the Riksbank (Sweden's Central Bank), you will work on complex, socially significant issues and contribute to ensuring that our IT environments and processes maintain the highest quality.

WHAT WE OFFER

By joining us, you step directly into the center of the national economy and gain the opportunity to create real societal benefit. Here you will find intellectual challenges, continuous development, competent colleagues, and meaningful work in an environment characterized by collaboration, curiosity, learning, and courage.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with both business operations and top management, contributing to the long-term improvement of governance, risk management, and IT security.
  • Broaden your competence in internal audit, IT audit, and central governance models.
  • Develop through international networks within the European System of Central Banks (ESCB).
  • Help shape how internal audit further develops its methodology and working methods.

This is a developmental role for you who wish to grow within IT audit in an environment with competent colleagues and a high level of collaboration.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Auditor, you work in a small, qualified internal audit function with a broad scope of assignments. You will:

  • Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits within IT areas and IT-related processes.
  • Assess whether the Riksbank's internal governance and control are appropriate and effective in the long term.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and the annual internal audit plan.
  • Participate in audits in areas other than IT when necessary.
  • Develop internal audit methods, tools, and working methods.
  • Participate in international audit assignments and cooperation within the ESCB.

YOUR TEAM

Internal Audit is a small and qualified department reporting directly to the Executive Board. You work closely with three experienced colleagues and a manager. You have many contact points – from IT functions and business areas to international collaborations. The team's task is to independently audit that the Riksbank is governed and led effectively and securely.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree at bachelor's level or higher in a field relevant to the position.
  • Approximately three years of work experience in internal or external audit, or approximately three years of work experience in IT combined with a clear interest in audit and assurance work.

The following are meritorious:

  • Experience working as an internal auditor with a focus on IT audit.
  • Experience working as an auditor at a large audit firm (preferably with IT audit or combined financial/IT audit).
  • Certifications such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent, or an ambition to become certified in the future.
  • Practical experience with data analysis, COSO, and 3 Lines of Defence (3LoD).
  • Work experience from banking, the financial sector, government agencies, or IT operations.

As a person, you are curious and structured, with strong analytical skills. You are good at collaborating and easily build trust, establish professional contacts, and thrive in a role that combines independence with close collaboration. Additionally, you have good pedagogical skills and communicate clearly in both Swedish and English.

The public sector values form the starting point for our work at the Riksbank. As an internal auditor, you are expected to have personal maturity and work fairly, impartially, and with high integrity, contributing to maintaining and strengthening trust in the Riksbank. Great emphasis will be placed on the applicant's personal qualities and suitability.
