Criteria for Evaluation of Qualified Applicants
In the selection among qualified applicants, special weight will be given to both documented academic specialization and pedagogical competence, with particular emphasis placed on pedagogical competence.
Academic specialization may refer to a completed degree at the doctoral level. In addition to academic merits, experience from other activities, such as technology development, may also be considered.
Pedagogical competence refers to educational and teaching merits. In addition to academic merits, educational and teaching merits from other activities, such as supervision, in-house training, or mentoring programs, may also be considered. When assessing pedagogical competence, pedagogical quality should be the primary consideration. The scope, both breadth and depth, should also be given significance. In assessing pedagogical competence, special weight will be placed on merits in teaching a broad range of subjects within human-computer interaction.
Furthermore, the ability to plan, initiate, lead, and develop education and teaching, as well as the ability to link teaching to research based on research in the current subject area, subject didactics, and higher education pedagogy, will be given significance. The ability to interact on higher education pedagogical issues with actors within and outside the university is also part of pedagogical competence.
Administrative competence is significant for the position and will be given weight. Administrative competence is demonstrated, among other things, by the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an effective and purpose-adapted manner, as well as the ability to set and adhere to timeframes. The competence includes overall operational planning and the ability to manage resources in a way that reflects the organization's priorities, as well as the ability to work structured and with awareness of goals and quality. Entrepreneurship is also included in administrative competence.
Other competencies: Experience with study administrative systems and learning platforms used at Uppsala University (e.g., Ladok and Canvas) is a significant merit for the position and will be considered.
All merits must be documented so that both quality and scope can be assessed.
The University will primarily consider the candidate who, after a qualitative holistic assessment of competence and skills, is judged to have the best prerequisites for carrying out and developing current duties and contributing to a positive development of the operations.
