Are you a service-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced environment where interaction with young people is at the center? We are now looking for an engaged school meal assistant who wants to take responsibility for our dining hall and school cafeteria.

About the position

As a school meal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in the school day for students and staff. We run a receiving kitchen where the school lunch is delivered ready-made from Cedergrenska Mat. Your focus is on creating a welcoming environment and ensuring a smooth meal experience.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lunch service: Preparation for serving, table setting, and continuous refilling during lunch.

• Environment and hygiene: Responsible for ensuring the dining hall is clean, tidy, and pleasant for our guests.

• Post-meal work: Handling dishes and cleaning kitchen surfaces after lunch.

• School cafeteria: You have overall responsibility for our cafeteria, which includes sales, simple preparation, and assortment.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is independent, orderly, and has natural drive. Since you interact with our students daily, it is important that you have a good attitude and enjoy a social environment.

We would like you to have:

• Good knowledge of and experience with hygiene routines and self-control.

• Experience from similar work in large kitchens, restaurants, or cafes.

• The ability to organize your work efficiently even during the lunch rush.

Scope and employment type

The position is a term-time position, which means you work during the terms and are on leave during holidays (according to the school's academic calendar).

• Scope: 90–100 %.

• Flexibility: The exact percentage depends on your responsibility for the school cafeteria and the needs of the operations.

• Temporary position during the academic year 26/27 with potential for extension.
