Do you want to work close to production and contribute technical expertise in complex Life Science environments? AFRY is now looking for a Process Engineer who wants to develop as a consultant for leading players in the pharmaceutical industry.

About the role

As a Process Engineer, you work as a consultant within AFRY Food & Pharma – Life Science. You operate close to production at the client's site in the Mälardalen region and serve as a support in daily operations. The role involves coordinating responsibilities where you handle deviations, lead minor improvement and change initiatives, and work on the validation of equipment and production environments. The work is primarily performed on-site at the client's premises and combines administrative tasks with cross-functional collaboration. You will receive a structured introduction both internally at AFRY and together with the client.

Requirements

• Recently completed engineering degree or graduation planned during the current year within: biotechnology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, technical physics, or a corresponding relevant area.
• Experience from production-proximity work within industry, preferably pharmaceuticals.
• Good ability to work in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work on-site at the client.
• Willingness to travel within the Mälardalen region.

Merits

• Experience working according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
• Experience with cleaning validation.
• Studies in cybersecurity.
• Studies in microbiology.

As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and self-initiative, with the ability to absorb a lot of information and translate it into practical work. You function in the role of a consultant, handle different social contexts professionally, and are not afraid to ask questions or seek help when needed.
