About the role

This is a full-time consultancy assignment lasting from August 1, 2026, to May 2027. You will be employed by Bravura and work as a consultant for our client.

About the organization

We are now looking for a Controller for a publicly governed organization responsible for socially important operations, including infrastructure and services. The finance function works closely with both operational managers and leadership, focusing on analysis, control, and decision support. You will become part of a small finance team where independence and collaboration go hand in hand.

Responsibilities

In the role of Controller, you work independently with qualified financial tasks. The assignment has a clear focus on control, analysis, and follow-up, with many contact points within the organization. You act as a support to managers and leadership on financial matters and contribute to well-founded decisions in both operational and strategic contexts.

The work also covers investment issues and long-term planning, where you analyze consequences and profitability related to larger projects. The role requires a good understanding of financial regulations in publicly governed operations and the ability to translate figures into decision-relevant material.

Examples of tasks:

• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up processes
• Produce financial analyses and decision support materials
• Work with investment calculations as well as consequence and profitability analyses
• Support managers and leadership on financial issues
• Contribute to the development of financial control models

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• University degree in economics or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in qualified financial work
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up
• Experience working independently in a finance function
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience from a politically governed organization
• Experience producing decision support materials for leadership or political bodies
• Experience within water/sewage or waste management operations
• Experience with the business system Agresso

You are confident in your financial expertise and used to working independently, while also having an easy time collaborating with different parts of the organization. You work in a structured manner, are analytical in your approach, and have the ability to explain financial relationships in a way that is relevant to the recipient. You take responsibility for your deliverables and are comfortable making decisions within the scope of your assignment.
