Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include developing the operations for our students as part of the work team. We look for you to have a solid background in the pedagogy and learning mission of adapted primary schools. With this competence, you play an important role in the school's development. You conduct pedagogical assessments, observe at both individual and group levels, and work on developing and supporting student learning in all situations during the school day. You are a mentor for a group of students and work closely with teaching assistants in the classroom.

The work team at the adapted primary school collaborates closely with the student health service, which is an important part of our work and contributes to developing the quality of the entire organization. We carry out joint work based on mapped and analyzed needs.

We work together to develop the leisure time activities at the adapted primary school, and part of everyone's mission includes health-promoting and security-building values-based work.

Qualifications

As a special needs teacher, you face different challenges and problems daily. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy working with complex issues, analyzing, breaking down problems, and proposing solutions. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as well as in documentation.

We are looking for you who are licensed and hold a special needs teacher degree with a specialization in intellectual disability, as well as experience working with students both individually and in groups. We see that you have a background as a teacher in the younger age groups for reading and writing acquisition as well as mathematics instruction. You are well acquainted with the school's work and its governing documents. You keep up to date within the special pedagogical field.

We see that you, as a special needs teacher, have good empathetic ability and can put yourself in someone else's situation without taking over the person's feelings. You are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations and can maintain a realistic perspective where you focus on the right things.

You find it easy to collaborate and build contact with children, young people, colleagues, and parents. You listen and communicate clearly, enjoy taking initiative and starting activities, but also achieving results and developing the organization.
