voestalpine is a global industrial group with a strong local presence and a long history in high-quality steel solutions. In Sweden, we sell highly alloyed special and tool steels from Uddeholm for industrial tools and machine components. The entire product portfolio is developed and manufactured at the steelworks in Hagfors, which is also where our central warehouse is located.

We are a technology and solution-oriented company that, in addition to the materials themselves, offers services in cutting machining, heat treatment, surface coating, and additive manufacturing. This allows us to meet our customers with complete solutions and create real value in their production and processes.

About the role – Technical sales with a consultative drive

In the role of technical salesperson at voestalpine, you work as an outside sales representative with responsibility for customers in southern Sweden. You work closely with the regional manager and become part of a team that drives the business forward together, focusing on presence, quality, and long-term relationships. The role involves largely collaborating with existing customers to understand their challenges and help them find the right solutions.

You work consultatively and use the entire Uddeholm product portfolio to tailor solutions where material selection is combined with services such as cutting machining, heat treatment, surface coating, and additive manufacturing. This also implies close collaboration with production and technicians in Hagfors.

The focus is primarily on nurturing and developing existing relationships, while new customer acquisition and finding new business opportunities are a natural part of the job.

Sales often begin with technical discussions where you need to understand the customer's processes, challenges, and requirements. With the support of your technical interest and business drive, you help the customer find the right solution, both technically and commercially.

You will

Work closely with customers and ensure that voestalpine is visible, accessible, and relevant in their daily lives. You plan and conduct customer visits, lead technical and commercial dialogues, and follow up on ongoing collaborations. You handle price and delivery discussions with confidence and integrity and are comfortable standing your ground when necessary.

In the role, you coordinate internal resources by engaging inside sales, technicians, logistics, and production as needed. You become a key link between the customer and the organization and are responsible for keeping the business together from dialogue to execution.

Travel occurs primarily during the day, but some overnight stays may occur occasionally per month. You will also have regular contact with colleagues in Vetlanda and Gothenburg and participate in internal meetings to strengthen teamwork.

You are

A relationship-building and business-driven person with experience from industrial sales or a role where you have been involved in the sales process towards industrial customers. You feel comfortable in technical discussions and have a genuine technical interest, even if you do not need to be a specialist. You can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You are self-reliant, confident in customer dialogues, and have the courage to take discussions regarding price, delivery, and solutions on your own. At the same time, you are unpretentious and thrive in a team game where everyone works towards common goals. You take responsibility for your customers, have a clear drive, and a natural business acumen in your working style.
