About the Company

Do you want to be part of creating successful infrastructure projects from the initial inquiry to the final bid? We are now looking for an experienced and driven estimator who wants to become an important part of our team in Ängelholm or Malmö. Bjäre Entreprenad is a civil engineering contractor operating between Halmstad in the north and Malmö in the south. Our clients range from smaller local builders to most of the larger construction companies. Today, the company employs approximately 60 staff members, and together with our sister company Bjäre Markkonsult AB, we can offer comprehensive solutions for civil engineering and demolition. We have a lot going on and we now need to expand our team with more employees. We perform foundation work, excavation, pipe laying, retaining walls, drainage, water and sewage installations, fine grading, stone and paving, playgrounds and park areas, as well as garden construction, among other things. We place great emphasis on quality, safety, and order and cleanliness for our customers, suppliers, and employees.

Your Responsibilities

As an estimator with us, you will have a central role in our infrastructure projects. You will primarily work from the office but also conduct site visits prior to the estimation process to ensure accurate and competitive basis for bids. The role involves close collaboration with the Estimating Manager and Project Managers. Your main responsibilities include:

• Prepare estimates and bids for infrastructure projects
• Analyze inquiry documents, AF sections, drawings, and technical descriptions
• Work with bills of quantities depending on the scope of the project
• Participate in bid reviews together with intended project managers
• Provide support to production when the project starts

The position is located at our office in Ängelholm or Malmö.

Your Background and Qualities

We are looking for you who have experience from the industry, for example as a skilled worker, foreman, site manager, or similar. You likely have relevant education or equivalent experience in the field. To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Are accustomed to independently preparing estimates
• Have the ability to take responsibility and drive your work forward
• Have a business-minded approach
• Possess good knowledge of regulations, construction law, and contract forms
• Have high economic awareness
• Are meticulous, structured, and analytical

As a person, you are communicative, team-oriented, and have good communication skills with both internal and external parties. You see opportunities and want to develop together with us. Requirements:

• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Several years of experience as an estimator within civil engineering
• Good knowledge of AB 04 and ABT 06
• Good understanding of infrastructure processes and production methods
• Fluent in Swedish (spoken and written)
• Good English skills (spoken and written)

• Experience working with bills of quantities
• Familiarity with Bidcon
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Good knowledge of the Office package
