About Us

We are a company that has operated residential care homes (HVB), supported housing, and family homes for over 20 years.

Our target group consists of adults with harmful substance use, addiction, and mental health issues (co-occurring disorders).

Our mission is to create a safe, structured, and developmental treatment where the individual is at the center. At our facility, innovation, evidence-based practice, and humanity meet in everyday life. We work with proven methods such as MI (Motivational Interviewing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CRA (Community Reinforcement Approach), and Relapse Prevention, but we also utilize digital tools. Our operation is small, family-oriented, and built on respectful and individualized treatment. At Ekhaga, we have space for 10 women, aged between 21 and 69.

About the Position

As a Counselor/Therapist with us, you will work closely with clients in their daily lives. You will offer group sessions and individual conversations and participate in the daily treatment work together with the rest of the staff. Your focus is to strengthen each client's ability to understand themselves, manage their life situation, and take steps toward change. The position is primarily daytime, but evenings and weekends may occur. Employment level: 80 - 100%.

Responsibilities

As a Counselor with us, you are an important part of the daily work with our clients. You offer conversations that support motivation and strengthen confidence in one's own ability to live drug-free and sober. You work both independently and in close collaboration with other staff.

Your tasks include

  • Group therapy
  • Individual counseling (e.g., MI, supportive counseling, crisis counseling)
  • Participation in treatment planning and follow-up
  • Collaboration with other staff and external contacts
  • Documentation according to current routines

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Social worker, social pedagogue, or other suitable education in the field of behavioral science.
  • Experience working in residential care (HVB) or with the target group of adults with substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits:

  • Ability to handle women with complex problems.
  • Knowledge of MI, CBT, ACT, or similar treatment methods.

Personal Qualities

You are self-assured, have a good ability to establish contact, and treat people with respect and clarity. You have a genuine interest in the target group and thrive working both independently and in a team.

We Offer

  • Meaningful work where you contribute to changing people's lives
  • Close collaboration in a committed and experienced team
  • Opportunities for supervision and competence development

Other Information

Start date by agreement. Selection is ongoing. Probation period applies. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required as the unit is located in a rural area. A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) for residential care is required. Employment level: 80 - 100%.
