Within the Learning and Health Department, we work together with preschools and schools to create the best opportunities for children and young people to achieve their dreams and become their best selves. The preschool and school should work to ensure that children's and students' experiences of learning and teaching also promote their health and well-being. The preschool and school also have a responsibility to identify, prevent, and remove obstacles that arise in the operations for children's and young people's learning and development. Our department is an important piece of the puzzle, and the target group for the work in the Learning and Health Department is therefore all school staff involved in working with children and students in preschools and schools.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker with us at the Learning and Health Department, you will support students' well-being and development through various tasks in different contexts.

You will serve as the professional coordinator for all school counselors and social pedagogues in the municipality's schools. This role involves strengthening the school health service's psychosocial efforts by leading professional meetings and driving development issues related to these professions. The position also includes development work at a broader level, such as crime prevention and school absenteeism.

You will be the coordinator for the school social team. The team consists of staff from both the Social and Functional Support Administration and the Knowledge Administration. The purpose of the school social team is to work together through administrative collaboration to support students at risk of long-term school absenteeism, where interventions may be needed both in school and at home. Through early interventions and support measures, the team works to prevent school absenteeism and provide individually tailored support to students at risk of an unfavorable development. As coordinator, you are responsible for structures, processes, and coordination in the daily work with the team, but you will also be part of the operational work, which includes mapping and analyzing support needs as well as consulting with school staff.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work or equivalent and have professional experience in the field. It is an advantage if you have worked within schools and social services, preferably with experience in coordination roles and leadership.
