Description

At Munkegärdeskolan, all our 411 students are at the center. We work based on the municipality's keywords; courage, respect, and co-creation. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, sense of responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a 7-9 grade school with a staff group of approximately 45 employees. We have a complete student health team consisting of school leadership, special needs educator, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist. The school's career guidance counselor works closely with the student health team and provides students with guidance for future choices. Our students should be given opportunities to develop their best selves and acquire good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is teaching quality, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis of teaching based on scientific foundation and proven experience. We work systematically so that the work team collaborates around mentorship, planning, assessment, evaluation, and analysis of results as our central parts.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work and develop our teaching at Munkegärdeskolan in grades 7-9. We are looking for you, a trained special needs educator or special needs teacher, who wants to work with developing our special teaching group and support services. We are looking for you who want to work close to our students, who can carry out special needs documentation work and also teach in our groups with students in need of special support. We have a need for teachers who can teach Swedish and English. If you are a special needs educator, it is desirable that you have a focus on language, writing, and reading development.

You who have good knowledge in your subjects and a focus on reaching and developing students in need of support. We are looking for you with great commitment, a positive attitude, and who enjoy engaging and listening to the students, finding different solutions regarding the students' individual needs but also adapting based on the group's opportunities and conditions. We strive for flexibility and a solution-oriented attitude. We work for a flat hierarchy workplace culture where we help each other and the goal is that every student leaving Munkegärdeskolan should have a good foundation for continued learning and a good life.

Formative assessment, evaluation, and feedback to students are natural parts of your teaching. You are confident that students feel a large degree of participation and have real influence in your teaching. Through a conscious and cooperative attitude, you create security, trust, and good relationships among our students. You have good awareness of how your actions affect your surroundings.

The work includes teaching in our smaller teaching groups, close collaboration with other staff in these groups, close collaboration with the students' guardians as well as other special needs staff and student health services.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed teacher for grades 7-9. You are trained as a special needs educator or special needs teacher. You have a focus on language, writing, and reading development.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents as well as the value base that permeates your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical ability and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for all our students throughout their school day. You are accustomed to planning and engaging students in the teaching to create participation. Based on evidence-based research, you are interested in developing your teaching and being driving in the research and development work that the school has started and is working with.

You are a person who is good at collaborating and finding solutions but also takes great personal responsibility. If you have just finished your teacher education, we offer supervision and mentorship by teachers at the school.
